SENTENCES FOR ESSAY WRITING (VACATION)

I'm now reading a book, The Shadow Year by Hannah Richell. In this book, the author weaves the interesting storylines with bombastic words and sophisticated description fantastically. The sentences are so wonderful and I think it will be useful for those who want to  upgrade their writing skill (like me). Kkkk, I'll stop nagging and here is the sentences, I hope it will be helpful for y'all~~~

1. A lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is the Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.
2. It is the smallest details that come to her: the damp grass underfoot threaded with buttercups. the air humming with insects, the snap of her nightdress catching in the breeze. As she wanders out of the cottage and down towards the mirrored surface of the lake, her senses are heightened.
3. She dips a toe into the cool shallow s then wades out, thick mud and silt squeezing between her toes and a dark water stain creeping up the hem of her nightdress. Water ripples and disperses all around her and it must be the glare of the sun because increasingly it's as though she's looking at the lake through the grease-smeared lens of a camera-as if she wades not through a lake, but through a dream.
4. A weak sun filters through the branches of the tree overhead, sending patterns of light dancing across Lily's bare arm. From far away comes the sound of a ball connecting with a boot, the delighted shriek of a child being pushed on a swing, the sound of a jet plane high overhead.
5. She half expects the others to have forgotten the plan by morning, so it's a surprise to find them all squashed into Mac's clapped-out Fiesta and heading out of the city just as the clock in the Market Square chimes ten.
6. All of them, it seems, are buoyed by the idea of escape.
7. The roads shimmer in the heat, oozing sticky black tar, while the grass along the verge begins to crisp and brown like burnt sugar. After a while, even with the car windows rolled down, it is unbearable, like sitting in the blast of a hairdryer.

• Sistem tulisan Tamadun Mesopotamia bermula dengan bentuk tulisan bergambar.Sistem ini kemudian berkembang kepada tulisan berbentuk simbol yang ditulis pada tanah liat.Tulisan pada tanah liat ini berbentik pepaku dan dikenali sebagai cuneiform.
• Hieroglif ialah tulisan awal Mesir dan merupakan tulisan bergambar.Tulisan ini berkembang kepada tulisan hieratik, tulisan berangkai.Akhirnya,tulisan hieratik ini berkembang kepada tulisan demotik.Tulisan yang begitu cantik, halus dan penuh seni ini menggambarkan keagungan tamadun Mesir Purba
• Tamadun Indus mempunyai sistem tulisan yang berbentuk piktograf.Walaubagaimanapun, tulisan ini masih lagi menjadi misteri dan masih belum dapat ditafsirkan
• Tulisan Tamadun Hwang Ho berbentuk ideogram, iaitu tulisan berbentuk simbol.Tulisan asal ini mempunyai gambar seperti matahari dan sungai. Namun demikian tulisan berubah kepada bentuk yang lebih kompleks seperti yang terdapat pada hari ini.

• sistem tulisan penting untuk melahirkan tradisi kesusasteraan.Contohnya epik Gilgamesh yang dilahirkan dalam tamadun Mesopotamia.
• membawa kepada sistem pendididkan yang bertujuan untuk melahirkan jurutulis.Kehadiran jurutulis ini       membolehkan urusan pentadbiran dan perdagangan dicatat. Dalam perdagangan, semua urusan jual beli disertakan dengan resit, nota dan surat kredit.
• menyebar ilmu pengetahuan dan menjadi perhubungan di dalam sesebuah masyarakat dan juga antara satu masyarakat dengan masyarakat yang lain
• bahasa merupakan instrumen paling penting untuk menyampaikan, memperkembangkan dan mencatatkan idea dan pemikiran manusia

2) Sungai Nil

• Sungai Nil berpunca daripada Sungai Nil Biru dan Sungai Nil Putih
• Limpahan air ke tanah yang gersang dan berpadang pasir menukarkan berntuk muka bumi Mesir kepada tanah dataran yang subur

• raja juga menjadi ketua agama dan berkuasa dalam soal tanah, cukai, hasil pertanian dan perniagaan (way to remember----Teddy Cry for 2 PEn)

• Golongan bangsawan sahaja yang dibenarkan memiliki tentera dan senjata gangsa, maka mereka dapat menundukkan golongan bawahan
• pegawai kerajaan,bangsawan dan pembesar membantu raja dalam urusan pentadbiran
• golongan bangsawan membantu raja mentadbir wilayah dan berhak mewujudkan sistem pentadbirannya sendiri dalam hal seperti pungutan cukai,pertahanan dan undang-undang

HOW I MET MYSELF:an interesting event

An interesting event in How I Met Myself is when John realise that Andrea and Kati were saved from the explosion at Zsolt's cafe. After the incident, John was upset that he had lost his family. As he walked along Gergely utca, he bumped into his doppelganger, Szabo who pointed out two figures at the end of the dark street. They were Andrea and Kati. John was relieved and excited to have found his family alive. He shouted their names and they hugged each other for a long time.

    Andrea explained to John that they would have died if not for Szabo who had stopped them from entering the cafe. Andrea at first thought it was John himself. However, when Kati started crying, she realised that it was actually John's doppelganger. He pointed out the streets a fey times before Andrea understood the message. He wanted to ask them to leave the area. Shortly after, there was an explosion. Then Andrea took Kati out again to investigate as she was afraid John would be at the cafe. That was when John saw them walking up the streets.

    This event was interesting as Szabo had saved the lives of Andrea and Kati. They did not become the victims of the explosion. Without Szabo's help, Andrea and Kati would have died in the explosion.
